Linda Ricks has been the Director of the Media Center at Haddam-Killingworth Middle School (HKMS), the Library Media Specialist, 8th grade Media Productions Teacher, 8th grade Computer Science teacher, 5th grade Library Media Teacher, TV Studio Morning News Producer, AV Club Adviser and TV Studio Club Adviser from 2007-2019 when she moved with her family to Georgia when he was promoted and relocated. All degrees completed with honors. She is currently attending in ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education) University enrolled in Artificial Intelligence (AI) Explorations and Their Practical Use in School Environments and The University of Rhode Island Computer Science Certification with Code.org.
As a Teacher, Information and Library Media Specialist - Provides a stimulating, safe and developmentally appropriate education environment where children develop cognitive, social, emotional and 21st century skills. As a Software Engineer - Linda Ricks was part of the team that created the first online Foreign Exchange (FX) Trading System between Tokyo, New York, Chicago, and London. This was an award winning online real-time FX currency options trading system for a Wall Street Company (GFI) that won Premier 100: Best in class award from Computer World. She was the architect in charge ofdesigning and developing all trading systems back-office (Administration Center), which was the main control point for all business related logic. It included defining new products (currency pairs), related permissions, user management (using LDAP for authentication), controlling client sessions (applets), displaying log information and system status using J2EE technologies.
